Jackson State to Host the Third Annual HBCU Awards

Jackson State University is the proud host of the Third Annual HBCU Awards, now a part of the inaugural National HBCU Media Week to be held on June 27-29!

Since capturing the 2011 HBCU of the Year award, Paul Quinn College has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and several higher education publications for its work in diversity, social justice and community advocacy.

The 2012 HBCU of the Year Alcorn State University recently experienced record gains in fundraising, enrollment, and alumni participation. The university is also known as a national model for diversity and inclusion, and was profiled on ESPN as the first historically black college in the SWAC to hire a white football coach.
